Recent Monash graduate Jessica Au has made sporting history, captaining the first Australian Women’s Futsal team to reach the finals of an international Futsal tournament while also taking out the Golden Boot Award.

It’s not every day you graduate medical school and join The Alfred as a junior doctor. Nor is it every day you’re chosen to represent Australia in the World Futsal Championships. But Monash Elite Student Performer Scheme student, Jess Au, has incredibly managed to achieve both.

Jessica is not only an elite soccer player, but also undertaking her Medicine degree at Monash.
Having been touted as a promising player, Jess has been part of the Melbourne Victory system since the age of 16 years and signed a professional contract with Victory in 2014.

JESSICA Au will never forget the training session where Melbourne Victory coach Joe Montemurro told her she had earned a contract with the W-League champions. The 19-year-old had arrived early, expecting she would have to continue pushing her case for a contract with the reigning W-League champion.
